Cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes

These cheesy au gratin potatoes are dangerously delicious. You won't be able to get enough of them.

Servings: 4

 

Ingredients

1 pound potato

1/2 onion

1 large tomato or 2 plum tomatoes (opt)

1 cups milk

3/8 cup shredded cheese

2.25 tsp flour

1/4 tsp salt (original recipe called for 1/2 tsp which tasted way too salty)

1/8 tsp black pepper

 

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Coat dish with cooking spray.

2. Saute onion until carmelized. Stir in flour. Slowly add milk. Stir in cheese, salt, and pepper.

3. Arrange potatoes and tomatoes (opt) in baking dish.

4. Pour cheese mixture on top.

5. Bake for 1 hour. Cover with foil. Bake until tender, about 20-30 minutes more.

Notes: Alternatively, don't saute onions. Just layer them between the potatoes.
