Chocolate Mug Cake

Sweet. Chocolate-y. Fudgy. Decadent... And quick to prepare. What more could you want? This recipe is delicious and a must-try.

Ingredients

1 banana

1 egg white (or 1 whole egg)

3 tbsp + 2 tsp cocoa powder

2 dates

 

Instructions

1. Mash banana. Stir in egg white, cocoa powder, and date.

2. Microwave 2-3.5 minutes.

 

Nutrition Information (with 1 date and whole egg)

272 calories, 6.7g fat, 45.2g carbs, 7.3g fiber, 19.8g sugar, 10.9g protein

 

Notes: I tried this recipe with both defrosted and fresh bananas and an egg white. Delicious. Next time, try it with 1 date to see if it is still sweet enough. It wasn't very sweet without any dates. Nuts might be a nice optional addition.

Chocolate Mug Cake- Version 2

This brownie is fudgy and tastes great.

Ingredients

1 tbsp flour

1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1/8 tsp baking soda

--1 tbsp Greek yogurt

1 tbsp milk

1.5 dates

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

 

Instructions

1. Mix ingredients in a mug.

2. Microwave 40 seconds.

97 calories, 1g fat, 19g carb, 2.2g fiber, 9.3g sugar, 3.7g protein
