Chocolate Pancakes
These healthy pancakes help you get your chocolate fix in. For the ultimate decadence, try them with my chocolate syrup.
Yields four 4-inch pancakes
Ingredients
1 egg
6 tbsp applesauce (or mashed banana)
2 tbsp milk
2 dates (Try 4 dates)
1/2 tsp vanilla (opt)
6 tbsp flour
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
pinch salt
Instructions
1. Combine wet ingredients. Combine dry ingredients. Pour wet into dry.
2. Cook in skillet

Notes (when tried it with applesauce): Maybe. A bit bitter. Good texture. Not bad, but not amazing. I would double the dates and try it again.
