Cinnamon Cider Brussel Sprouts with Apples and Pears

If you typically don't like brussel sprouts, you may still like this dish! The apple juice reduction sweetens them.

Ingredients

2 cups brussel sprouts

1 Asian pear or 1 apple

1/2 cup apple cider or juice (original recipe called for 1 cup)

1/2 tsp cinnamon

 

Instructions

1. Slice brussel sprouts in half. Put face side down in saute pan and cook over medium heat until bottoms begin to brown (10 minutes). Stir.

2. Add apple and pear. Cook 5 minutes. Pour 1/2 cup of cider in pan. Simmer. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Simmer until liquid evaporates.
