Korean Barbecue (Bulgogi)

Kiwi and/or pear serve as natural tenderizers in this dish.

Ingredients

1 pound beef, thinly sliced

1 kiwi or Asian pear

1 small onion

1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce

1-2 dates

1 tbsp mirin (opt)

1/4 tsp black pepper

 

Instructions

1. Place 1/4 onion, kiw/pear, soy sauce, sugar, mirin, and pepper in food processor. Blend.

2. Add marinade and remaining slide onion to beef. Marinade 30 minutes - 1 hour.

3. Cook in skillet over high heat.
