Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar

 

Ingredients

1/4 cup peanuts

4 dates

 

Cashew Cookie Larabar

 

Ingredients

1/4 cup cashews

3-4 dates

 

Pecan Pie Larabar

 

Ingredients

2 tbsp pecans

2 tbsp almonds

3-4 dates

 

Notes: Never tried this as-is. Tried it with 1.5 dates, and it was just okay. Guessed from Larabar packaging--difficult to determine the correct ratio between pecans and almonds.

 

Amaretto Fudge

 

Ingredients

20 dates (about 0.83 cups)

1 cup almonds

2 tbsp cocoa powder

1/3 cup coconut (opt- I am not a big fan of coconut)

1/4 tsp almond extract

 

Cappuccino

 

Ingredients

20 dates (about 0.83 cups)

1 cup cashews/almonds

4 tsp coffee grounds

 

Banana Bread Larabars (Yum)

 

Ingredients

2 cups almonds

1 banana

10-12 dates

 

Banana Bread Larabars (Using Dried Bananas)

 

Ingredients

1/4 cup dates

1/4 cup dried bananas

1/3 cup almonds

 

Chocolate Larabars (Delish)

 

Ingredients

1 cup almonds/walnuts

2 tbsp cocoa powder

15-20 dates

 

Notes: Don't use vanilla, because vanilla will add an aftertaste. Don't use more cocoa, because then it will taste a bit bitter.

 

Thin Mint/ Mint Chocolate

 

Ingredients

20 dates (about 0.83 cups)

1 cup walnuts/almonds

1-2.67 tbsp cocoa powder (I used 2.67 tbsp)

1/2 tsp peppermint extract

 

Oatmeal Raisin

 

Ingredients

1/4 cup walnuts

3 tbsp oats

4 tsp raisins (most recipes call for more, but I like it better with this amount)

1/4 tsp vanilla

1/4+ tsp cinnamon

3/32 tsp salt

 

Apple Pie (Yum)

 

Ingredients

3 tbsp walnuts

2 tbsp dried apple

1 date

1/2 tsp cinnamon

 

Pumpkin Pie

 

Ingredients

1/4 cup almonds

4 dates

1/2 tsp cinnamon (or more)

1/4 tsp nutmeg (or less, since before the nutmeg it was overpowering)

1/4 tsp ginger (or more, since didn't really taste it)

1/8-1/4 tsp allspice (I used 1/4 tsp, but it was overpowering)

 

Gingerbread

 

Ingredients

2 tbsp almonds

2 tbsp pecans

4 dates

3/4 tsp ginger

3/8 tsp cinnamon

3/32 tsp cloves

 

Note: I tripled the spices from the original recipe because it needed more.

 

Key Lime Pie

 

Ingredients

1 cup cashews (or almonds)

1 cup dates

1/3 cup coconut

zest of 1-2 limes (~2 tsp)

~2 (or 1-2.67) tbsp lime juice

 

Tropical Escape

 

Ingredients

1 cup dried pineapple

1 cup cashews

1/4 cup coconut

1 tbsp orange zest

Note: I like the orange zest and pineapple. Maybe, use more pineapple and less coconut next time.

 

Lemon Larabars- Version 1 (Okay)

 

Ingredients

1 cup cashews

1 cup almonds

9 dates

1-3 tbsp water

4 tsp lemon juice

 

Lemon Larabars- Version 2 (Okay)

 

Ingredients

1 cup almonds

1 cup dates

4 tbsp lemon juice

 

Note: Tart lemon flavor

 

Instructions

1. Blend nuts.

2. Blend dried fruit.

3. Combline ingredients. Enjoy!

NOTE: Do not soak the dates. Make sure to blend the nuts before adding the dried fruit.
