Orange/Almond/Anise Biscotti

You can customize this biscotti by flavoring it with the extract of your choice.

Yields: ~26 biscotti

 

Ingredients

2 cups oat flour from 2 2/3 cups oats

1 cup dates (~24)

1 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp extract of choice (orange, almond, or anise)

4 egg whites

4oz applesauce (around 1/2 cup)

 

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Add wet to dry.

3. Form into a biscotti mound.

4. Bake 20 minutes. Let cool. Slice.

5. Bake another 15 minutes. Flip. Bake 5 minutes more.
