You'll love these crunchy chickpea "nuts."
Base
1/2 cup dried chickpeas, cooked
Falafel Spiced
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp paprika
3/8 tsp salt (might be able to cut down to 1/4 tsp)
Buffalo Spiced
1/2 tbsp melted coconut oil (You can experiment to see if this is really needed)
2 tbsp hot sauce
Other Flavors I Haven't Tried Yet
Barbeque Spice, Kabob Spice, Buffalo Chicken Spice
Tex Mex: 2.25 tsp oil, 1/4 tsp chili powder, 1/8 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp black pepper, 1/8 tsp onion, 1/16 tsp garlic, 1/16 tsp cumin, 1/16 tsp paprika, 1/16 tsp cayenne
Ranch: 2 tbsp oil, 2 tbsp lemon juice 4 tsp dried dill, 2 tsp garlic, 2 tsp onion, 1 tsp sea salt
Curry: 1 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp curry, 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
1. Air fry for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
2. Toss with oil and spices. Air fry for 5 minutes more. (If you put the spices in from the beginning, they may burn.)
Alternatively: Toss chickpeas in oil and spices. Bake for 60-75 min at 350, 40 min at 400, or 30-40 min at 450.
Notes: I only tried this in the air fryer
