Smoked Red Wine Vinegar Chicken

Smoking the chicken gives it a depth of flavor.

Ingredients

1 whole chicken, cut up

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup oil

1/4 cup red wine vinegar

1 tsp oregano

1/2 tsp basil

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp pepper

wood chips (I used hickory)

 

Instructions

1. Marinade 4 hours or overnight.

2. Smoke chicken using moist method for 1 hour.

Notes: One of my favorites, but takes a long time to cook. You can only taste the smoke--not the marinade.
